All of this will be wonderful, it will truly be Siku Kuu. It is good and right to celebrate that a new group of people love God enough take more than 100-hours of their time to be better equipped to serve the people they love. It is an honor to add the 2012 School of Ministry class to the previous graduates and then help release them into higher levels of ministry leadership.
Our desire is for people that love God would be transformed by His love and therefore seek a practical and Biblical approach to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ and then know to simply share that love with other people. In Calvary's theme Bible passage for the SoM this is called equipping: Ephesians. 4:11-13 "And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ."
If you desire further ministry training, or you simply desire to know God more intimately, we encourage you to apply to our SoM. Classes will be taught by Pastor Ed and will begin 4 May, 2013. SoM will go through 2014. Meeting for 90-minutes every Saturday to grow with God and each other. Like the Kenya school schedule, we'll take off April, August and December.
Applications are being accepted, but they must be turned in by March 30th. You can download the application with schedule here.
Note the SoM app also has the schedule for Calvary's Shepherd's School.
